Tree Risk Assessment
Professional Tree Risk Assessment Qualified Certified Arborist evaluation of structural defects, site conditions and potential hazards to help property owners and managers make informed decisions about their urban canopy.
Understanding Tree Risk
Tree risk assessment evaluates the likelihood that a tree or branch could fail and impact people, property or infrastructure. Tree Risk Assessment Qualified(TRAQ) certified arborists assess structural defects, decay indicators, canopy structure, and any other surrounding target to determine whether mitigation of any hazards may be appropriate, or whether removal is necessary.
When to consider a Risk Assessment
-
Large limbs overhanging homes and driveways
-
Visible cracks, cavities, or decay
-
Leaning trees or recent root disturbance
-
Storm-damaged trees
-
After major construction impacts near root zones
-
Trees near high-value targets

Professional Documentation
When necessary or appropriate, our TRAQ Certified Arborists will provide written reports to document the findings regarding health and vitality of specific trees as well as the recommended mitigation strategies. Because assessments often involve private property and sensative risk considerations, detailed reports are prepared specifically for the client and are not published publicly.
Our Evaluation Process
-
We come out for a visual structural and site inspection
-
We do an assessment identifying defects and decay indicators present
-
We do a full evaluation of the site and any targets, such as people, or property.
-
We suggest ways to mitigate any potential risks that retain the health and vitality of the trees if at all possible
-
If necessary a full Tree Risk Evaluation can be completed complete with documentation.
